Bad weather forces many garage sales in Sydney to be postponed.
Recently, on the weekend of 23rd July, after a week of bad weather, many Sydney garage sale advertisers decided to postpone their garage sales to a later date. Some advertisers took their chances, but cancelled on the morning. And others found there were not enough people on the hunt for bargains and so they needed to hold another garage sale to move more stuff.
Each one of these garage sale advertisers was able to easily edit their ad and change the date of their garage sale to a future date - for no extra charge. Try doing that at your local newspaper!
Egaragesales likes to make it as easy as possible for our garage sale advertisers to have a successful sale and find new homes for their old treasures.
As long as the garage sale is being held at the same address, our advertisers can
- change the date of their sale at any time, for any reason, leading up to their garage sale;
- change the date of their sale if they have had to cancel on the day due to bad weather; or
- advertise a second garage sale for free if there is still too much stuff left, by changing the date on their ad to the new date.
There is no additional fee; advertisers make their changes online at anytime without having to ask permission; and advertisers can change the description to suit what's in the postponed garage sale.
This flexibility means you can advertise with confidence knowing that you can change your ad at any time if your circumstances change. And if you change your date more than 24 hours before the start of your sale, you won't even have people turning up unexpectedly because no-one will know your street name yet. (To ensure your privacy, your street name appears in your ad 24 hours before your sale unless you choose to display it sooner.)
So, if you're not 100% sure of your garage sale date, you can still advertise in advance knowing you can change your dates for free (at the same address) if you need to.
