About Garage Sale Finder

A free map of every upcoming garage, yard, moving and deceased estate sale we can find in Australia — currently 227 listings across 13 areas.

Garage Sale Finder gathers publicly listed garage, yard, moving, estate and clearance sales from across Australia and shows them in one place, with dates, start times, street addresses and a map, so you can plan a weekend of bargain hunting without trawling a dozen local groups.

Where our garage sale listings come from

Every listing on this site started life as a public Facebook Marketplace post written by the person running the sale. We read the seller's own title, description, dates and address, tidy up the formatting, geocode the address so it can go on the map, and link straight back to the original post. We do not write listings ourselves, we do not take payment from sellers, and we are not affiliated with Meta or with any marketplace.

If a post does not include a date, we still show it — flagged as Date TBC — because the address and the seller's description are often enough to be worth a look. If the date has passed, the listing drops off the site automatically.

Which cities we cover

We currently track sales in the following areas. Each page carries its own map, day filter and suburb search.

How often listings update

Listings refresh regularly from public marketplace posts. The data behind this site was last rebuilt on 27 August 2026. Day labels such as Today and This Saturday are calculated against the current date. Because sellers sometimes cancel or move a sale, the original listing is always the last word — open it before you drive out.

How to get your garage sale listed

There is nothing to sign up for. Post your sale publicly on Facebook Marketplace, include the words garage sale or moving sale in the title, and put the suburb, street address, date and start time in the description. Public posts in the areas we cover are picked up on the next refresh, usually within a day or two. The more precise the address and time, the better the listing looks on the map — a post that says "Saturday, 8am, 12 Smith St, Meadowbank" gets plotted exactly; one that says "this weekend, message for address" cannot be.

How to find garage sales near you

Open the city page closest to you, zoom the map into your suburb, and look at the pins within a short drive. Each pin sits on the sale's real street address, so distance on the map is real distance. Use the day filter to see only what is on today or over the coming weekend, and use the search box for a suburb name. Then string three or four nearby sales into one route rather than driving across town for a single address.

Corrections and removals

Because every listing mirrors a public post, the fastest fix is at the source: edit or delete the original marketplace listing and the change flows through on the next refresh. Sales whose date has passed are removed automatically. We show no contact details beyond what the seller published, and we never republish photos that a seller has taken down.

Garage Sale Finder is free and independent. There is no account, no fee to list, and no payments pass through this site. Listings link out to Facebook Marketplace; we are not affiliated with Meta. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors.
